What Entrust is doing to help
As the majority owner of Vector, we have an agreement that commits the company to spend at least $10.5 million every year on projects in the Entrust district. This fund has historically been used for underground projects in the Entrust district and has recently been extended to include new technology such as solar and battery.
So far, over 135 undergrounding projects have been completed, and power lines have disappeared from 108km of streets in neighbourhoods all over Auckland, Manukau and northern Papakura.

The response to the Vector/Entrust Future of Energy competition was fantastic. The first of the solar systems featuring a Tesla Energy Powerwall battery was recently installed at Rongomai School in Otara. The other winners have been contacted and their systems will be installed over the coming months. This initiative was proudly supported by Entrust.
