Entrust is a private trust that owns the majority of Vector on behalf of our 359,000 beneficiaries.

Entrust was established in 1993 as a private trust to run for 80 years, until 2073. It was originally called the Auckland Energy Consumer Trust (AECT). In 2016 we changed our name to Entrust, a simple combination of energy and trust. Find out more about the role of Entrust, the trustees and our people below.
