As the majority owner of Vector, we have an agreement which sees Vector spend at least $10.5 million every year on projects in the Entrust district. This fund has historically been used for underground projects in the Entrust district and in 2015 the fund was extended to include new technology such as solar and battery solutions.
In August 2015, in conjunction with Vector, we launched a one-off “Future of Energy” campaign in which deserving individuals, families, community groups and schools were nominated to win the use of a Vector solar system featuring a Tesla Powerwall battery for 10 years.
The 130 winners of this initiative have all had their Tesla Powerwall batteries installed and are now benefitting from the savings on their power bills.
